Isn’t it a crazy time we are in? Visually attending birthday parties and catching up with friend’s online? In the normal course of things, this post would have been to sell you a gorgeous mother daughter session but at the moment it is to relive this beautiful relationship and to showcase some photos from a recent mommy daughter session I did at the studio.

For this photo session, I was keen to use brown as a major tone and have an earthy feel to all the photos. Absolutely loved shooting this duo, mom, S, being 50 and fabulous and an artist who up-cycles waste into usable things including furniture! And her daughter younger S, who had come back home in her break from college in USA.

Both were absolutely stunning in their own ways and I loved using the black brown and golden tones to these images!

Hope you enjoy this series of images!

Do you print your photos?

Let’s face the fact, we live in a world where we want things instantaneously, at this minute NOW! Surely very technologically advanced, but at every level we are trying to find a solution to our problems very instantly. In this digital era, its not normal to hear mom’s keeping one hard disk for each of their kids, not normal to hear that couples who got married years back have still not seen their very own wedding album.

Once a photo session is done, you surely have a digital link to your photos, but how long will your account last? Where will your photos remain if you want to have a quick look at them? In the mayhem of our busy lives, we juggle between only a zillion passwords, to find an app that can store it all but suddenly out of nowhere that very reliable app stops to function!

Ok yes, maybe you are the most organised and disagreeing with me all along, but tomorrow when you get back from a hard day at work, a photo of your family on your side table will surely mean the world to you and put a smile on your face!

Having prints with you maybe in your safest drawer (if you are not someone who wants to put things out there) is still a lovely possibility of you reliving those memories a million times over than to have a link stored away in an email which is starred! To print your photos and to let your children see what they have grown up to is absolute magic, and there’s no denying that!

I am a big believer of prints and safely tuck them away to see them every now and then! Hoping this post also makes you go print some photos of your own and makes you relieve your special moments gone by!
